Mega Plantation Drive

Image
M onsoon is the best time of the year as the showers quench the thirst of the motherland and nature paints numerous shades of green on the canvas of the earth. Seizing the wonderful opportunity, NAATA foundation, with the help of Fact Set ltd., accomplished the pledge of planting trees in the tribal villages in the city. On the 6th of July, with the help of our wonderful members and volunteers, we conducted a mega-plantation drive in Chinchpada in Sanjay Gandhi Nation Park. Over 100 fruit trees were planted across various pockets of the area.  Planting trees is an experience of a lifetime and we are glad that through it, we were able to help the underprivileged section of the society and achieve our goal of spreading a smile across faces.                               We hope to spread many more smiles and tons of laughter and happiness with your blessings and support.

Little Sisters of The Poor-Home for The Aged is  a home of 45 elderly citizens of the economically unprivileged families of both genders from different communities.   NAATA has decided to extend a helping hand and will be providing dedicated support to the old age home as per the capacity of the organization, to help in fulfilling their needs and necessities. For the first project, we’ll be conducting several games and activities, followed by lunch, on the occasion of one of our member’s birthday, on the 2nd of July. We need the young generation to come and join hand to pass some quality time and bring a smile to the face of 45 inmates.

🌳🌳🌳🌳Tree plantations drive

On our last visit to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, we initiated our plantation drive by laying down a nursery bed in Chinchpada. A pit of 10’-10’ was created with the help and support of the local residents and NAATA members and volunteers and seeds of mango, litchi, pumpkin, and papaya were sown. Now we wait for the monsoon showers to grace our little nursery and hope for our plants to flourish and be healthy. On the 6 th  of July, we plan to plant around 200 trees of various fruits in several pockets of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
